Ieri, alla MGM Grand Arena di Las Vegas, si è svolta la cerimonia di consegna dei Billboard Music Awards, i premi musicali della prestigiosa rivista Billboard assegnati sulla base delle vendite e delle classifiche compilate durante l’anno dalla stessa rivista.
Drake ieri ha fatto man bassa di premi, diventando l’artista più premiato nella storia dei Billboard Music Awards. Il rapper ha vinto ben 12 premi, compreso quello come miglior artista, che statuette che vanno ad aggiungersi alle 15 già vinte nelle edizioni passate.
Altri premiati e premi importanti sono stati gli Imagine Dragons, che hanno vinto il premio per il miglior artista rock, Mariah Carey, che ha ricevuto un premio alla carriera dal nome Icon Award, Luke Combs che ha vinto il premio come miglior artista country, Cardi B, che siè aggiudicata il premio come migliore artista rap e Ariana Grande che ha portato a casa il premio come migliore artista femminile.
La miglior performance della serata è stata indubbiamente quella tra Madonna e Maluma con cui la Ciccone ha presentato il suo nuovo singolo Medellin, brano che anticipa l’uscita del nuovo album dell’artista italo americana Madame X (leggi nostro articolo).
