Ieri sera, presso la Grosvenor House di Londra, ci sono stati gli MPG (Music Producers Guild) Awards 2017, premi assegnati ogni anno ai migliori produttori musicali sulla piazza.
A farla da padrona quest’anno è stato il produttore Paul Epworth che, nominato per il suo lavoro con Adele, The Stone Roses e Usher, ha ricevuto il prestigioso premio Producer of the Year Award 2017.
Questa è la quarta volta per Epworth: questo award lo aveva vinto già in precedenza, nel 2010, 2013 e 2015.
Altro grande produttore premiato ieri è stato Tony Visconti, producer di David Bowie, che ha vinto tre prestigiosi premi in due diverse categorie: un premio come produttore dell’album dell’anno, Blackstar di David Bowie, un premio come produttore internazionale dell’anno e un premio per il suo contributo musicale apportato al Regno Unito in tutti questi anni di lavoro accanto ad artisti come David Bowie, Marc Bolan e T.Rex, The Moody Blues, Angélique Kidjo , i Manic Street Preachers e Morrissey.
